Service company Lassila & Tikanoja’s mission is to make the circular economy a reality. The company's strategy and goals stood out when the root causes of employee engagement were revealed through emotions in NayaDaya Inc.'s Empathy Analytics™.

The experiences of Lassila & Tikanoja's employees towards the company's sustainability were studied in an empathy study in September 2022. Close to five hundred employees responded to the survey. The data was analyzed with Empathy Analytics™, which uses emotions and science to show what engages people or drives them away. A traditional satisfaction survey would not have revealed this.
Significant aspects of engagement in the context of ecological sustainability included participation in the environmental work, strategy, goals, sustainable policies, and circular economy. Company’s efforts to improve the climate and to secure the future were also brought up as strong, positive signals. Only one of the ten top signals, operational transparency, polarized the respondents. The most common emotions evoked by environmental sustainability were interest, pride, and contentment.

The empathy study analyzed the employee emotions and the root causes for the emotions in connection with ecological, social, and governance sustainability (ESG).
